Snowmobile Safety Course Offered

The Sno-Eagles Snowmobile Club is hosting a snowmobile safety class in Eagle River on the 24th & 25th at Trees For Tomorrow. Wisconsin DNR-certified instructors will cover basic safety. Friday’s session is 6-9 p.m., and Saturday’s is 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; both are mandatory. Parents/guardians must attend the first 30 minutes on Friday for registration. Anyone 12 or older born on or after January 1, 1985, needs a safety certificate to operate a snowmobile on Wisconsin’s public trails. While there’s no minimum age to attend, certificates are valid at age 12. A Wisconsin DNR customer ID is required for enrollment. Obtain one online at GoWild, or at a DNR Service Center. Enroll by email at carole@snoeagles.org. The course costs $10, including materials and Saturday’s pizza lunch.
