Team O’Reilly Auto Parts, Jacob Wheeler and Mark Daniels Jr., won their first Fishing Clash Team Series title at the Knighten Industries Heritage Cup on Tomahawk Lake late last week. They overcame an 11-pound deficit in the final hour, catching 43 bass totaling 65 pounds, 8 ounces, to beat Team Star Tron. Wheeler’s switch to targeting smallmouth bass was key. Wheeler focused offshore, while Daniels fished largemouth from grass edges, catching the final three winning bass. Andy Montgomery caught the Berkley Big Bass (3 pounds, 3 ounces). Hosted by the Minocqua Area Visitors Bureau, the Heritage Cup was the second of four 2025 Fishing Clash Team Series events, organized by MLF, featuring 12 two-man teams.
