At its regular meeting last week, the Park Falls Common Council appointed Andrea Mortier as the city’s new deputy clerk and treasurer. Mortier will succeed Debra Perkins, who retired at the end of July. The council approved a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit bids from firms for the creation of a new comprehensive plan for the city. According to City Clerk Shannon Greenwood, the current plan, adopted in 2009, was intended to guide development through 2030 but has become outdated due to numerous changes in the local landscape.
