This past week, the Emberlight Festival kicked off its fifth season. Starting last Saturday, “Cadences of Connection” began at Miners Memorial Heritage Park with three events, a Pathways to Photography class, the opening of Art in the Park, and a blessing ceremony for a special exhibit called “The Seventh Fire: A Decolonizing Experience.” TheDailyGlobe reports Emberlight is composed of more than 120 diverse events, including an international film festival, which on the 12th will introduce the new Art of Film program, with a showing of “Fantasia 2000” at Theatre North at 7 p.m. There’s something for everyone at Emberlight, from Broadway concerts, interactive performances in the park and many exhibits by artists from every genre.
