Back to School Means Health Screenings for Kids

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department offers free, mandatory hearing and vision screenings in August for Gogebic and Ontonagon county kindergarteners. In Gogebic County, screenings are scheduled for August 18, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Central and August 19, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 210 N. Moore Street, Bessemer. In Ontonagon County, screenings are scheduled for August 27, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET at 408 Copper Street, Ontonagon. For more information, contact the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department.
