Budget for 2025-26 Fiscal Year in Ironwood Passed

After a public meeting at the end of May, the Ironwood City Commission at its last meeting on Monday approved a resolution to approve the fiscal year 2025-26 budget. The new fiscal year begins on July 1st, and the $36,540,000 budget covers total revenue and net assets, and total expenditures including capital outlay and transfers. TheDailyGlobe reports Paul Linn, the city treasurer and finance director presented the budget to the commission, emphasizing that more than $22 million of the city’s projected income would be coming from 13 grants, most of them federal. Monday’s motion also included the adoption of the city’s fee schedule for the upcoming fiscal year.
