Air Quality in U.P. and NW Wisconsin Expected to Be Poor for the Weekend

An air quality Advisory has been issued for Iron, Gogebic, Ontonagon, Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, Marquette, Dickinson and Menominee counties in the Western U.P. of Michigan and for Ashland, Bayfield,
Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Sawyer, Washburn counties in Wisconsin. Pollutants within those areas are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. A cold front moving down from Canada will bring smoke from wildfires in Manitoba and Saskatchewan into the western part of the U.P. and Wisconsin.
