A couple of areas in the Hurley K-12 School will soon be getting a new look and new equipment. The existing tile floor in two aeas is 35 years old and in need of replacement. TheDailyGlobe reports The Board of Education approved the renovation. Kevin Genisot, district administrator for the Hurley School district says the new floor will be most welcome. New flooring in the commons area will cost $27,500 and the northern-most hallway floor around $14,250. The new flooring will be the same as what is currently in the library area. Northwoods Manufacturing, the school’s student run business will soon have a paint booth and compressor, funded by a Wisconsin Fast Forward grant. The grant totals $11,850, and the Hurley Education Foundation matched it with another $12,000, will cost $24,000.
