A fundraiser held at the Aurora Club in Ironwood drew a good crowd on Sunday. 273 people attended the H.O.P.E. Animal Shelter Breakfast. Suffolk Eatery provided breakfast for everyone, and there were 50/50 and basket raffles with prizes donated by local businesses. Executive Director Denise Anderman said all proceeds from the event will go towards helping homeless animals in the area. Anderman says the shelter takes in about 500 animals a year and finds them new homes. Local entrepreneur Deb Schwarz will be donating 25% of all her sales of Jordan Essentials products through the 12th to the shelter. Former Director of H.O.P.E. Animal Shelter Randy Kirchhoff was at the breakfast. Both he and Denise Anderman encourages everyone to visit the shelter and perhaps find the perfect four legged family member.
