Local man facing decades in prison. According to the DailyPress, 60-year-old Terry Weaver of Ashland is facing serious prison time after operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated last October. Weaver struck a power pole in front of an Ashland business while driving with a revoked license and facing his eighth OWI charge. Officers found his car on fire and Weaver lying unconscious on the ground nearby. The crash caused surrounding businesses and residents to lose power for several hours. The total number of charges Weaver is facing includes his 7th, 8th and 9th OWI charges, operating while revoked, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping. Under Wisconsin law the seventh through ninth OWI charges are considered felonies, and bail jumping is a Class H felony. Weaver is still without legal representation and remains in the Jackson Correctional Institutue in Black River Falls. His first appearance is court is scheduled for March 17th.
