The Ashland teen accused of helping his brother commit suicide appeared in Bayfield County Circuit Court for his preliminary hearing. TheDailyPress reports 16-year-old Daniel J. Wilber faces a first degree intentional homicide charge in the death of his brother. Earlier in the month, his bond was reduced to $250,000 cash. Wilber is said to have known that his brother was going to commit suicide and is accused of shooting his brother after what appeared to be a botched attempt. The defense is waiting on autopsy results from the victim and the DA has not ruled out the possibility that the case may be transferred from adult to juvenile court. If convicted, Wilber faces life in prison. His next hearing is a bail/bond hearing scheduled for the 19th.
