Two From Iron County Arrested for Manufacturing Illegal Drugs

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team or UPSET has announced that after an extended investigation, two Iron County residents have been arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine. Detectives served a search warrant on Wednesday at a residence in Mastodon. Various chemicals used in making meth along with the finished product were seized. Other equipment used in the cooking of meth were also seized. The two suspects arrested are being held in the Iron County Jail. There names are being withheld due to the active nature of the investigation. The UPSET team was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Michigan DNR, Iron County Sheriff’s Office, West Iron County Fire Department, and Iron River Aspirus EMS.
