Governor Tony Evers was in Ashland on Monday to announce funding for the renovation of the Vaughn Public Library and other projects like it across the area. TheDailyPress reports during his visit, the Governor discussed the benefits to the community that the renovated library will provide. In Ashland, $3.4 million in funding will be used to help fund the $8 million renovation of the library building, with a meeting room, a classroom and a computer lab. The Forrest Lodge Public Library in Cable received $1.4 million for renovating the space and adding a media lab, telemedicine room and a computer lab. Those two projects are among 10 others funded by the Flexble Facilities Program.
