Ironwood Ahead of the Game in A Very Important Way

In a report by the City Manager, the Ironwood City Commission learned that the city’s progress on detecting and replace old lead line service is surpassing most Michigan Communites. TheDailyGlobe reports Paul Anderson said the city has been very successful in securing state and federal funding, which eases the process of identifying lead line service. He also added that Ironwood’s $3 million lead line replacement service continues and begins a separate project funded through an almost $600K TMF grant, issued by the state to proved community, technical, managerial and financial help connected to the process of assessing whether water lines are lead. The project will help locate the more than 500 unidentified water service lines in Ironwood.
