VILAS COUNTY-At the most recent meeting of the Boulder Junction town board, a vote was taken and it was agreed that a committee should be formed in order to plan the town’s 100 year anniversary celebration in 2027. TheLakelandTimes reports that library director Cherie Sanderson, chamber director Mary Jones and chamber assistant director Amanda Chartrand, along with the town’s historical society are leading the effort. The board gave the go-ahead to form the committee, however members have not yet been appointed. The first meeting of the centennial celebration committee is scheduled for next Wednesday, the 9th.
