A Bayfield man charged with assaulting the man who served him with an eviction notice has pleaded not guilty to charges of battery and false imprisonment. TheDailyPress reports Kim Kingsley, 72 prevented the notice server from leaving and then struck him in the head with a bicycle helmet. He then prevented the server from leaving his property by barring his exit with barbed wire. Kingsley told law enforcement he though the notice server was trespassing on his property. If convicted, Kingsley could be sentenced to almost 8 years in prison. His next appearance in court is on November 5th.
