School Year is Set for Ironwood Students

At the most recent meeting of the Ironwood Board of Ed, decisions regarding the school year were made, despite being challenged by power outages. TheDailyGlobe reports the board voted to approve course offerings for the year, nailed down final changes to the student handbook and approved the planned purchase of laptops to replace the ones currently in use. The cost to replace the four to five year old laptops is around $58K and an online learning platform that is part of courses offered rang in at $30K for the first semester. The board approved the contracts and hiring of the assistant principal/athletic director and a number of teachers and staffers.
