Local Nature Center Has New Director

The board of directors of the North Lakeland Discovery Center have announced the appointment of its new Executive Director. The Lakeland Times reports that NLDC Board Chair Richard Phillips said Don Anderson is a perfect fit for the position. He’ll be replacing Eric Coster, who’s been serving as interim director. Anderson has been an educator and educational leader for two decades. He will finish his tenure as Principal of Northland Pines Elementary School in Eagle River and will officially begin work at the center on June 17th, but will be in attendance to several Center functions, including the Annual Fundraiser. There will be a special meet and greet once he starts at NLDC, with a date to be announced soon.
