Work on US-2 Project Starts Soon

The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin a $10.3 million resurfacing project on almost 18 miles of US 2 from Great Lakes Road to Gogebic Station next Monday. During daytime hours, traffic will be reduced to only one lane and there will be an 11 foot lane width restriction in place. MDOT says the work includes asphalt crushing and shaping, asphalt milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, realignment of the M-64 south junction intersection, and pavement markings. The project is expected to continue until early October.
