During the meeting of the Iron County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, the board approved funding for the purchase of a stage for the fairgrounds located in Saxon. TheDailyGlobe reports that Fair Board Secretary Cortney Ofstad told the board that the rental of stages over the last few years has cost about $16,000. The board agreed to grant a loan to the Fair Board for $40,000 from the general obligation fund. The board also approved $85,000 to replace heat pumps in the courthouse. The money will come from the county’s remaining monies from the American Rescue Plan Act.
