The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced that access to Cisco Lake in Gogebic County will be closed for repairs of the next few weeks. Planks in the launch area have shifted due to the ice and frost from the winter. The site will be closed until spring weight restrictions for area roadways are lifted. Then crews will begin repair work. Cisco Lake can still be accessed at the Thousand Island Lake Boating site, which is about nine miles southwest of the Cisco Lake access site off Thousand Island Road.
