An Ashland County man is facing sexual assault charges. Jeffrey M. Hanson, of Clam Lake, is accused of sexually assaulting a young relative earlier in the month in Gordon. TheAshlandDailyPress reports Hanson is facing second-degree sexual assault charges and charges of causing a child aged 13-18 to view the act. Court documents state Hanson overpowered the victim, commited the sexual assault and another teen witnessed the assault, only stopping when the victim’s father intervened. Hanson made his first appearance in court on Monday, was advised of the charges, and had his bond placed.
