The trio of restauranteurs who opened the Local Bar and Grille at the Chequamagon Bay Golf Club have opened their next venture in the historic Hotel Chequamegon. The AshlandDailyPress reports Michael and Natalie Skinnes and friend Brad Moullet had been looking at the location and jumped at the chance to move into the space. The incredible location and views and the fact that the kitchen was almost turnkey made the decision easy. In order to run both restaurants, Moullet is the chef at the Landing in the hotel and a sous chef was promoted to executive chef at the Local. The new restaurant offers dry aged steaks, local meat and cheeses, as well as fish straight from Lake Superior. The Landing is open for breakfast lunch and dinner, as will soon offer brunch as well.
