Work on the new Ironwood Water Treatment plant continues. TheDailyGlobe reports the city commission approved a Rural Development package for just over $375,000 for Phase 1 which is ongoing. Just over $343,000 of that money went to CD Smith Constructon, with the rest going to engineering services. Possibly the only upside of the dismal winter season, construction on the project have been able to continue. According to the city manager, roofing is expected to start in May or June with interior plumbing and mechanical work slated to start over the summer. City Manager Paul Anderson reports that he expects Phase 2 to begin Summer of 2025.
