Washburn residents got together on Thursday to review the results of a survey conducted by the Bayfield Street Beautification Committee. TheAshlandDailyPress reports the committee has been gathering input from locals as the city prepares for a major reconstruction project, which will take traffic away from the downtown area. The $5.8 million project is expect to take years to complete in segments. At the gathering, suggestions for how to improve the downtown area, were shared. The committee will present its recommendations to the City Council in May.
