The Clerk-Treasurer of Bessemer has confirmed that City Manager Christopher Frazer has resigned. TheDailyGlobe reports Frazer’s resignation follows a special closed meeting last week that included the entire city council, the city attorney, the clerk-treasurer and Frazer. The council voted to give Frazer the option of resigning within two days, and also voted to give him two day’s paid leave for that time. The city will also pay Frazer 30 days salary. Councilman Adam Zak said he couldn’t elaborate on the council’s decision, but did say that he didn’t think Frazer was the best fit for the city of Bessemer. Chris Frazer was hired last October and was the council’s next choice after its first choice declined the position.
