An abandoned nursing home in Ironwood will be getting a facelift thanks to the more than $70 million awarded. Other locations in the U.P. will be able to now stage renovations and removal of blighted properties. Gogebic County Treasurer Lisa Hewitt says the county’s Land Bank has been receiving funding since last year. In the four rounds of funding awarded thusfar, the county has received $4.1 million.
