The Bessemer Parks and Recreation Commission has decided to work on a five year plan for the area’s parks and recreation plan. TheDailyGlobe reports the commission has number of items on it’s wishlist, like pickleball courts, ADA compliant playground equipment and a splash pad. Commissioners decided that its next meeting will be dedicated to the five year plan. The commission at its next meeting will talk about different features to add and also how to finance those additions to the city’s park system.
