UPMOM Program in U.P. To Receive $50K Grant

The U.P. Perinatal Quality Collaborative is one of five community based organizations that are receiving grants from the Advancing Maternal Health Equity Program. The program is backed by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Michigan and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation, and is designed to reduce disparities and to improve maternal health outcomes in vulnerable communities. The U.P. PQC will receive a $50,000 grant, which will be used to expand the U.P. Peninsula Maternal Opioid Misuse Model or UP MOM in the western U.P. The funding will allow the UP MOM program to expand to Gogebic, Baraga, Ontonagon, Houghton and Keweenaw counties.
