Not Enough Snow in the Forecast to Save This Year’s SISU Ski Races

The 15th annual Sisu Ski Race organizers have announced that this year’s races have been canceled. A post on the Sisu Ski Fest Facebook page broke the news. The Depot Dash and Snowshoe Book Walk are still on for Friday at 4 p.m., with hot chocolate, cookies, games if there’s no snow and a bonfire promised. The Depot Dash and Snowshoe Book Walk are sponsored by Ironwood Kiwanis, Ironwood/Hurley Rotary, and Great Start Collaborative The Ski Fest Expo is still on for Saturday from noon til 4 p.m. at the Ironwood Memorial Building. At least 17 vendors are expected to attend the Expo, and there’ll be music, food, and racer gear available.
