Due to the lack of good snow this season, MECCA Trails in Mercer has decided to cancel the Winterfest ski race it had planned for this Saturday, but racers can still participate virtually. Skiers will keep their own time and turn them in after they’ve completed their races. Racers are encouraged to run the courses several times and turn in their best times to be eligible for prizes. Racers have until February 19th to turn in their times. Proceeds from Winterfest support MECCA’s trails and facilities. MECCA still plans to hold its candlelight ski, snowshoe and hike on the 27th.
