A Hurley man has been arrested after being a traffic stop by officers who clocked him driving 71 m.p.h. in a 55 zone. Early last week, Bryan Mayer was stopped on State road 27 and Scenic Drive in Ludington. Mayer appeared intoxicated, so the deputy who stopped him conducted field sobriety tests and a preliminary breawth test. He was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital for a blood test. Mayer was charged with his 8th instance of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 2 counts of speeding, two counts of operating while suspended and two counts of driving without insurance.
