A student at Ashland High School has been nominated to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, an honors only program for high school students working towards careers as physicians or in medical research. TheDailyPress reports Gunnar Crowe, a member of the Bad River tribe has taken enough classes to become a certified nursing assistant from Northwood Technical College on top of his regular school work and competing on both the football and wrestling teams. Crowe was nominated to represent Wisconsin. After high school, Crowe is considering attending the College of St. Scholastica, University of Wisconsin-Madison, but hasn’t decided on a career path yet.
