Fleet Farm Store Is Coming…Eventually

TheAshlandDaily Press reports there are plans for a roughly 92,000 sq ft building and a gas station, but no timeline has been set. Executive Vice President for Fleet Farm, Frank Steeves says the company is committed to opening the location, currently an architect is in the design process, which he hopes will be finished in the next month or so. In the meantime, Eileen town officials are doing a feasibility study to determine the cost of water and other utilities for the site. The store has been anxiously anticipated by locals since news of the new store coming to the area broke early in 2023. There are community members concerned about the noise and traffic that the store will bring to the area, as well as the possibility of a gasoline leak into Fish Creek and Chequamegon Bay.
