An Accident With a Piece of Heavy Equipment Has Killed Watersmeet Man

“A 59 year-old man was working on a skid steer in his garage Thursday afternoon when the hydraulics in the equipment failed, causing the bucket of the equipment to hit him. He was able to call a neighbor, who then called 911. The man was taken to Aspirus Eagle River Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post were first on the scene, along with the Lac Vieux Desert Tribal Police, Watersmeet Township First Responders, and Aspirus Ambulance. I’m Roxanne Stuart.”
