Gogebic Community College has selected a new president. A press release from the school announced that the 10th president of the college is Chris Patritto. Patritto is a GCC alumnus and lifelong resident of the area. Patritto started working in the area in 1987 as a Special Needs/Middle School science teacher in the Hurley School District, then became Principle and then became district administrator in 20o4. He retired in 2019 but has served as the Interim District Administrator in the Ashland School District from Aug. of 2021 – June of 2022. Since then he’s worked as a Neola Police Associate, working with nearly 60 school districts in Wisconsin. He will begin his new position on January 2nd.
