The new Wakefield Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will hold its first meeting next month. TheDailyGlobe reports that during the City Council meeting on Monday, the new board members were announced, with seven on the board as well as an alternate and an ex-officio member. There is one community-at-large seat that is still vacant, and the city will continue to advertise for it. Officers are expected to be elected during the board’s first meeting and then get down to the business of evaluating projects for the community.
