The Ashland County Snowmobile Alliance has announced new officers. The Alliance is composed of the five snowmobile clubs in Ashland County, which work with the various forestry departments to maintain the county’s trail system. TheDailyPress reports at its last meeting, the Alliance’s new officers are Ron Sztyndor, president, from the Ashland club; John Westfahl, vice president, from the Penokee club; Jim Meisenheimer, treasurer, from Glidden; and Richard Reukema, secretary, from the Clam Lake club. The Alliance also reported it recently purchased trail grooming equipment, existing alliance groomers and drags are receiving repairs and maintenance and new grading equipment and a new mower were also purchased for trail maintenance.
