The owner of the Minoqua Brewing Company filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) on Thursday in an attempt to bar former President Trump from the Wisconsin ballot. Besides being the founder of the Minocqua Company Super PAC, Kirk Bangstad was a former Democratic candidate for the U.S. House and State Assembly. In an email to media outlets, the WEC responded quickly, stating, “The complaint was disposed of without consideration by the Commission. It is the position of the Commission that a complaint against the Commission, against Commissioners in their official capacities, or against Commission staff, warrants an ethical recusal by the body.”
