Holiday celebrations continue across the U.P. This evening from 5:30-7 A Merry Ol’ Christmas Celebration takes place at the Washburn Club on Bayfield Street in Washburn. Santa will be there and will be gathering letters from the kids. Be sure and have a name and address so that he can write back. There will be activities for the kids while they wait for Santa, and each kid will receive a gift and a cookie while supplies last. After the event, Santa will take to Facebook to read a holiday story for the family around 8. Saturday its time to head to the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland. Starting at 10 am, the Friends of the Center will hold a Homemade Holiday Bazaar, with handcrafted gifts for everyone on your list, delicious holiday treats and more.
