The holiday season is underway, and this Saturday the Northwoods Winter Wonderland is happening in Mercer. There’s something for everyone to celebrate the season in Mercer. The Candy Cane Christmas Parade begins with the lineup at 3 starting at the DNR Ranger Station. At the end of the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop and help with the annual light of the town Christmas Tree and the Wreathing of Claire d’Loon at the Mercer Chamber of Commerce. Santa’s Workshop will open after that with cookies and hot drinks, letters to Santa, goodie bags for the kids and the Christmas Carnival games.
