Washburn May Have A New Attraction In Its Future

A group working towards bringing a mountain bike park to Washburn meet last week about where the park might be located and what they’d like to see included in the park’s attractions. The group is in the beginning stages of planning, and according to the DailyPress, they’ve gotten help from the International Mountain Biking Association to determine which of four city owned sites might be best location. Three of the sites are near the shoreline of Chequamegon Bay and the fourth is on the outskirts of Washburn. The city isn’t the only one in the area to want a bike park. Ashland also recently started working towards its own facility with help from a grant from the IMBA.
