A Lac du Flambeau man found guilty of child neglect and the death of that child has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in Wisconsin in Vilas County Circuit Court. TheLakelandTimes reports Judge Martha Milanowski sentenced George Poupart to serve six years in prison and six years probation after his release. Poupart was credited with a year and a half time served. He was charged along girlfriend Sheila Thompson, mother the six year old boy who is said to have died of neglect in June of 2022.
