FEMA has announced that it will broadcast a nationwide test of the emergency response alert system, and this time for the second time ever to all cel phone systems, that test will include cel phones. FEMA coordinating with the FCC will test both systems to ensure that they are an effective means of warning the public about emergencies, especially on the national level. The test is scheduled for around 1:20 p.m. tomorrow, with the EAS portion of the test going to tv and radio, and the wireless emergency system will send a text alert, and that text alert will only be sent once. In the case that there is an actual emergency, the test will be rescheduled to the 11th.
