Ashland officials have adopted a county ordinance that will allow someone who violates pandemic guidelines to be fined. TheDailyPress reports anyone who violated rules meant to stop the spread of disease during an epidemic or pandemic can be fined after being given a written citation. The fine could be anywhere up to $500 for each violation. The new rules, according to Ashland County Health Officer Elizabeth Szot is to allow health officials to better enforce guidelines in case of another health threat.
