Governor Tony Evers has appointed a new District Attorney for Ashland County. Blake Gross is known for his efforts in Native American communites, according to the AshlandDailyPress. Gross will succeed David Meany and will finish out his term, which concluded in January of 2025. Gross moved back to Ashland from Las Vegas in 2018 and worked at a small firm before starting his own practice. He graduated from Northland College and the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada. He lives in Ashland and is president of the Northland College Alumni Association Board of Directors and serves on the board for Prentice House, a local group home for troubled teens.
