The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians held their general election. Henry “Butch” St. Germaine Sr. was voted President, Mike Allen Sr. garnered the most votes for Vice President. Jamie Allen, Charles “Chuck” Burgess, John “Goober” Johnson and Frank Mitchell Sr. were all voted to the council. The Seat held by Henry “Butch” Germaine Sr. remains unfilled and the election board will meet soon to determine how the seat will be filled. Elected officials will be sworn in at the next Tribal Council meeting on the 13th.
