Earlier in the week, the Ashland City Council voted to appoint Jim Gregoire to fill the District 5 seat vacated by Laura Graf in August. TheDailyPress reports Gregoire was the only applicant for the position. He works as a patient access specialist from Memorial Medical Center. He served the city as Police Chief from 2016-2020 and stepped down as chief in 2020 after a series of complaints were filed against members of his department. He’ll serve the rest of Graf’s term, which expires in April.
