At the Monday evening meeting of the Ironwood City Commission, the board voted to purchase a new fire truck and electrical upgrades to the Curry Park Campground, and hire a new supervisor for the Department of Public Works. TheDailyGlobe reports the purchases that total around a half million will be funded with money from ARPA. City Manager Paul Anderson said that designating those funds would then allow the city to qualify for additional funding through various state and federal programs.
