Town in Vilas County Signs Contract for Ambulance Service With Oneida County

The town of Arbor Vitae and Oneida County have come to terms on a contract for ambulance service. TheLakelandTimes reports the contract was agreed upon at the town board’s meeting on the 20th. The contract for 2024, at almost $230,000 is more tan $100,000 increase from 2023. The town will pay Oneida County it’s share of the cost of the ambulance service program and the county will allow the town to participate in that service. The Arbor Vitae town chairman and the Vilas County supervisor that represents Arbor Vitae both stated that a county wide ambulance service would be a good idea, and that perhaps the effort to form that type of service would happen in the future.
